Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Gujarat has become the gateway to the global economy, citing the state’s strides in trade, technology, and entrepreneurship. He was addressing the Trade Expo GATE 2025 via video conference, organized by the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Science City in Ahmedabad.
He emphasized the need for a modern, proactive approach that bridges government policies and industrial needs. He mentioned that the key focus areas will involve digitalizing supply chains, encouraging youth entrepreneurship, linking MSMEs with
startups, and supporting ancillary industries. The Minister added that Gujarat offers an ideal ecosystem for industries ranging from IT and infrastructure to MSMEs and startups.
The three-day GATE 2025 expo will host over 300 trade industries and feature forums, discussions, and networking sessions aimed at driving innovation, sustainability, and economic growth. Held under the theme ‘Gujarat’s Vision, Global Ambition,’ the event is expected to draw more than 15,000 B2B (business-to-business) visitors.
