Gujarat police has recovered 80 kg of cocaine, worth around 800 crore rupees, dumped on the shore of a creek passing from Mithi Rohar village near the Gandhidham in Kutch. During a joint operation, the police recovered the banned drug in 80 packets weighing one kilogram each yesterday.
Superintendent of police, Kutch-East division Sagar Bagmar said the drugs was perhaps left behind by
smugglers to avoid getting caught by the police as the police was already active in the region after receiving a tip-off about the delivery of a drug consignment.
From the past two years, the Border Security Force and other security agencies have been recovering drugs at regular intervals from the coast near Jakhau, which is close to Pakistan.
