In Gujarat, Navratri began today with zeal and religious fervor. Devotees are visiting the Shaktipiths in the state, including the most revered Ambaji Temple in Banaskantha and the Mahakali Temple in Pavagadh.
In Gujarat, the festival of Navratri is celebrated by lighting the traditional lamp called Garbo, observing a nine-day fast, and performing various religious rituals like ghat sthapan and havan. With the
beginning of Navratri, the state has also geared up for the Ras Garba celebrations.
This year, the state government has lifted the curbs on celebration timings at both commercial and residential venues, adding more enthusiasm to the celebrations. However, the government has appealed to people to control the DJ volume, especially near hospital areas.
