Gunfight erupts in Kupwara district, J&K

In Jammu & Kashmir, the gunfight erupted between the security forces and terrorists in Jugtiyal area in Kupwara district of Kashmir early this morning. A police official told that cordon and search operation was launched around 6 45 AM on the basis of specific input about the



presence of terrorists in the area. 

As the forces zeroed in on the suspected spot the hiding terrorists indiscriminately fired upon forces triggering gunfight. There was no report of fatal or non fatal casualties on either side till now.
