In Rajasthan, the Gurjar agitation has continued on the fifth consecutive day today following the deadlock in talks between the State Government and the Gurjars.
Several trains are being diverted daily since the last four days on the Delhi-Mumbai rail line due to siege of the Railway track by agitating Gurjers at Pilupura near Bharatpur district.
The Gurjar Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti is once again agitating for filling the backlog posts in the Most Backward Classes-MBC and other demands including the issues related to ongoing recruitment.
Internet services remain suspended for the last four days in five Blocks of Jaipur and
five eastern districts of the state.
Delhi-Mumbai rail route is disrupted, due to which some trains have to be cancelled, while many other trains have been diverted.
The representative of the government Neeraj K. Pawan went on the rail tracks on Wednesday and spoke to the protesters and urged them to come to the table for talks, but the meeting remained inconclusive.
Gurjars also held demonstrations in Bhilwara, Pali and Bundi districts on Wednesday.
Gurjar leader Kirori Singh Bainsla urged the government to immediately restore internet services in view of public interest.
