Punjab and Haryana are on high alert as the Panchkula CBI Court will pronounce verdict in Sadhvi sexual exploitation case against Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh today. As per latest information received from various government sources, more than ten companies of Para Military forces have been deployed at Panchkula alongwith Haryana Police to tackle any untoward situation.
During night few columns of Army have also been called. The CBI Court is under tight security and the all roads leading to court have been closed. Advocates and the Judges will enter the court through a road especially marked for them.
In Sirsa and three nearby villages - Neja Khera, Shahpur Beg and Bazeka - curfew was imposed during night. The Para Military forces are staging flag march in the
sensitive areas of Punjab and Haryana.
At night the Dera Chief, by circulating a vedio messages has appealed to the Dera followers, who gathered at Panchkula in large numbers, to go back to their homes. He has also appealed to all the Dera followers to maintain peace and harmony and respect the Court. He also said that he will reach CBI Court to hear the verdict.
Haryana Additional Chief Secretary in Home department Ram Niwas told media that mobile internet services and data services will remain suspended in Haryana, Punjab and the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
Buses of Haryana Roadways coming to Chandigarh and Panchkula have already been stopped for two days. Northern Railway has also suspended service of around 30 trains mostly passenger trains.
