The online application process for Haj 2019 will start from today while the offline procedure will commence from 22nd of October.
Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mr. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi announced this in Mumbai yesterday.
He said an early start for Haj 2019 will ensure better facilities as the concerned authorities in India and Saudi Arabia will get sufficient time to make arrangements.
The Minister said that safety and provision of adequate medical facilities will be the government’s top priority.
Mr Naqvi said that airline tender
process will be completed by November while accommodation will be finalised by January. Mr. Naqvi said that Haj 2018 was successful with a record number of 1,75,025 pilgrims performing Haj, that too without any subsidy.
Mr. Naqvi yesterday also inaugurated 'Viewers' Gallery' at Mumbai’s Haj House and unfurled monumental National Flag on the rooftop.
Flying at a height 350 feet from ground level, this national flag with a size of 20 feet by 30 feet on the high mast of 20 meter is believed to be the highest tricolour installed on the terrace of any building.
