Hamid Ansari to visit Tezpur University in Assam today

Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari is visiting Tezpur University in Assam today. Mr Ansari will inaugurate the 19th national convention on knowledge, library and information networking. 

The three-day convention is being jointly organised by the University and DELNET. DELNET is one of the major resource-sharing library network connecting over



5,600 libraries in India and 8 other countries.

Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal and DoNER Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh are among those who will also attend the inaugural programme.The Vice President will also inaugurate the newly-constructed academic building for humanities and social science in the University.
