Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal Khattar, has announced district status for Dadri. Dadri wil be 22nd district of the state. Addressing a Vikas Rally at Dadri in Bhiwani district Chief Minister said that the process will soon be set in motion to make Dadri a district which would help speed up the development and growth of the area.
Mr Manohar Lal khattar said that developmental projects worth Rs 112 crore had already been completed in the Dadri Assembly segment during the two-year tenure of the present government. In addition, he had also inaugurated 9 development projects worth Rs 45 crore for the people of Dadri on Sunday. He recalled that Dadri was treated as a district in 1992 when he looked after the affairs of RSS in this area.
Chief Minister also announced various development projects for Dadri, including Rs 1.90- crore for water supply pipeline in Dadri town, Rs 3.5 crore for the construction of a pedestrian overbridge between Gandhinagar and Grain Market, Vyayamshalas in
10 villages, completion of work on Dadri drain, early completion of the consolidation work in 80 villages, construction of varous roads by the Public Works Department and Marketing Board, a college for boys in Badhra Assembly segment subject to the availability of 25 acres of land, setting up a wrestling hall in Balali, 33 KV substation in Paintawas village and Kamod and Multi Skill Training Centre in Ghasaula village.
Mr Manohar Lal also announced that the state government would procure bajra on the pattren adopted last year. Referring to the water management and irrigation schemes, especially in southern Haryana, Chief Minister said the government planned to spend Rs 143 crore to boost lift irrgiation system in southern Haryana. He said that government is also preparing schemes to store rain water in ponds, especially in the areas of Bhiwani, Loharu, Badhra, Mahendgarh, Rewari etc to ensure adequate water for irrigation purposes as well as to recharge the depleting ground water.
