Haryana Government bestowed a significant gift of a cashless health facility upon government employees and their dependents in the new year. Governor Bandaru Dattatreya inaugurated the cashless health facility under Ayushman Yojana. Chief Minister Manohar Lal was present on the occasion. The Governor and Chief Minister also symbolically distributed Ayushman cards to the beneficiaries during the inauguration programme.
An official spokesman said that the state government had launched the scheme on a pilot basis in November last
year, initially covering employees from the Fisheries and Horticulture departments and now the coverage has been extended to all regular government employees.
The scheme not only covers six life-threatening cardiac emergency, cerebral hemorrhage, coma, electric shock, third and fourth-stage cancer patients and any kind of accidents as per the existing provisions but it also covers all types of indoor treatments and daycare procedures, catering to the health care needs.
