The Haryana government has extended the internet shutdown in 16 districts till 5pm on Sunday.
An order issued by the Haryana Directorate of Information and Public Relations said internet services except voice calls will remain suspended in Ambala, Yamuna Nagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, Panipat, Hisar, Jind, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Fatehabad, Rewari, Sonipat,
Palwal and Jhajjar districts till 5 pm tomorrow.
The move has been taken to prevent any "disturbance of peace and public order" in the wake of the farmers' agitation against the three agriculture laws.
On Tuesday, the government had ordered suspension of mobile internet services in Sonipat, Jhajjar and Palwal districts. This was extended to 14 other districts on Friday.
