The Haryana government has notified the ‘Haryana Good Governance Award Scheme 2024’. The scheme aims to promote excellence in governance by rewarding employees who contribute to better governance in the state through innovative work and extraordinary efforts.
According to the notification issued by Chief Secretary Vivek Joshi, the awards have been classified into flagship scheme awards and state-level awards. ‘District-level awards’ will also be given under the scheme.
Under the flagship awards, teams involved in flagship projects whose work has led to significant improvement in governance will be honored. State-level awards will be awarded to teams doing excellent work in various governance initiatives. ‘District-level awards’ will also be given under the scheme. Each flagship award will carry Rs 51,000, while state-level awards will carry Rs
51,000 for the first prize, Rs 31,000 for the second prize, and Rs 21,000 for the third prize. The cash prizes will be distributed equally among the members of the winning team.
The awards will also include a trophy and a certificate of appreciation. The certificate of appreciation for the flagship award will be signed by the Chief Secretary. The certificate of appreciation will be attached to the service record of the honoured employee.
The ‘District-level Awards’ will be given by the Deputy Commissioner of each district. Cash prizes of Rs 31,000 for the first position in the district, Rs 21,000 for the second position, and Rs 11,000 for the third position will be awarded. Each awarding team will also be given a trophy and a certificate of appreciation signed by the Divisional Commissioner of the respective district.
