The Congress CEC meeting to decide the candidates for the upcoming Haryana Assembly polls was held on Tuesday at the national capital. Party's national president Mallikarjun Kharge, leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, General Secretary KC Venugopal, AICC in-charge of Haryana Deepak Babaria, LoP in State Assembly and former CM  Bhupinder Hooda and others present in the meeting.

Over 32 seats have been finalised in the meeting of the Congress Central Election Committee regarding the Haryana Assembly elections. The names of the candidates will be announced in different phases in the next two days. 

In the meanwhile, the Congress has formed a Sub Committee for the remaining pending seats in Haryana. Madhusudan Mistry, Ajay Maken and Deepak Babaria are members of the committee. A meeting of the committee will be held on Thursday, 5th September, and three senior leaders of the state will be called separately for discussions. "The committee will meet Bhupinder Hooda, Randeep Surjewala and Kumari Selja. More than 24 seats have been listed as pending, consensus yet to be made on those seats by the party's CEC," Congress Sources told news agency

In the meantime, the talks about alliance with Aam Aadmi Party are still at the primary stage. Seat sharing with Aam Aadmi Party will be finalized in two to three days. 
Sources said that the names of Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia have not been discussed in today's meetoing but this will also be finalized in two days.

According to sources, talks are going on between Congress and AAP for alliance in Haryana Assembly elections. A meeting will be fixed soon between Raghav Chaddha and KC Venugopal regarding the alliance.

Sources said that efforts are being made to form an alliance between AAP and Congress in Haryana. The first two rounds of meetings have taken place between Raghav Chadha and KC Venugopal. The third round meeting can be held today or tomorrow. 

The sources added that the AAP is demanding ten seats while Congress is ready to give seven. In Haryana, there are 9 assembly seats in one Lok Sabha constiuency and because of this, AAP is demanding ten seats. 

Earlier in the day, the Congress said it is in talks with AAP for an alliance in Haryana but nothing has been finalised yet.
