Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan inaugurated two medical colleges and three super specialty blocks in Rajasthan through video conference yesterday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Health Minister said that India has outperformed other big countries in the fight against coronavirus.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 recovery rate in the state has risen to 79 percent. The fatality rate has also come down to 1.3 percent in the state.
Five projects and health facilities of the Health Education Department with a cost of Rupees 828 crores have been inaugurated yesterday.
These include Medical College buildings in Bharatpur and Bhilwara and super-specialty centers in Bikaner, Udaipur, and
Kota.
The Health Minister praised Rajasthan's efforts to deal with COVID-19. He also said that more attention is needed in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Alwar, Kota and Bikaner.
Meanwhile, Health Minister of the state Dr. Raghu Sharma has informed that the positivity rate in the state is 3.4 percent, which is lowest in the country.
More than 1300 people are being found positive every day in the state.
610 people have been tested positive for COVID 19 on Wednesday morning, after which the total number of infected people has gone up to 73,935.
9,86 people have lost their lives due to COVID infection in the state so far.
