The Health Ministry has extended the last date of submission for Logo and Tagline Competition for Ayushman Bharat until 18th March. Earlier the last date was 6th of March. Ayushman Bharat programme was announced in the General Budget 2018-19. The competition will be done through a digital crowdsourcing campaign on MyGov portal.
The main theme of the logo will be ‘Ayushman Bharat’ and the guiding principle will be 'Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niramayah'.
The competition began on 19th of last month. The main aim of the competition is to generate awareness among the population about the health sector initiatives and engage them towards ownership in shaping a healthy India.
The submission can be either digital logo or a handmade which can be submitted as a scanned copy on the
digital platform. The winner of the competition will be awarded a prize of 25 thousand rupees while the runner-up will be given 10 thousand rupees.
As a part of ‘Ayushman Bharat’, two path-breaking initiatives have been announced that address health holistically, impacting primary, secondary and tertiary care system as well as prevention and health promotion.
Under the first initiative, the 1.5 lakh health and wellness centres will provide people-centric comprehensive primary health care.
The second initiative under ‘Ayushman Bharat’ is the National Health Protection Scheme. Under it, over 10 crore poor and vulnerable families will be provided treatment coverage up to 5 lakh rupees per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization.
