Heat wave conditions to continue to prevail in many parts of country

Heat wave conditions will continue to prevail in many parts of the country including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and in isolated pockets over Haryana, Gujarat and Vidarbha during next 24 hours. 

Met department said, parts of northwest India including Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi are expected to experience isolated thunderstorms, dust



storms and gusty winds during the evening hours today. 

Isolated thundersqualls with wind speed reaching 60 to 70 kilometre per hour and lightning is likely to occur over Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal and all North-Eastern states. Heavy rain is expected in Gangetic West Bengal and Tripura.
