Heat wave across the state continued unabated with temperatures set to cross 45 degrees Celsius at many places. During the past 24-hours, the mercury crossed 44 degrees Celsius at various places, with Banda being the hottest at 47 degrees Celsius. Allahabad registered a high of 46.3 degrees Celsius, followed by 45.2 degrees Celsius in in Hamirpur and 45 degree in Jhansi.
Weather has been very inclement, forcing changing in daily routine of life of people . Due to increase in night
temperature people are not able to complete their sleep leaving them irritated and effecting work efficiency.
Long queues are seen on the hospitals of the heat stroke and diarrhoea patients. Frequent cut in power due to excessive load and fault in power lines and transfers have also left people in trouble.
Met Office predicts a further rise in day temperatures with Warning rain and thunder showers very likely at isolated places.
