Heat wave conditions have abated in northwest India due to rain and thunderstorm that occurred over Punjab,  Haryana and Delhi yesterday.

Talking to news, Dr RK Jenamani, Chief Forecaster, National Weather Forecasting Centre said temperature has come down in the national capital by several notches.

The temperature in Delhi is



likely to increase by 2 to 3 degrees and reach 40 to 40.5 degrees Celsius by 6th of July and temperatures will soar in Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana as well.

Dr Jenamani said, there is no chance of monsoon coming to Delhi for the next 4 to 5 days. He added that the monsoon has been weak in other parts of India and this break will prevail till 8th of this month.
