Heavy rain has affected long distance train service to and from Mumbai. Almost all trains coming or going from Mumbai are either cancelled, short terminated or diverted.

More than 100 millimeters of rain is recorded at many places in Mumbai and suburb. Some has even recorded more than 200 millimeters of rain in last 24 hours.

Around 130 millimeters of rain is recorded in Kasara and Lonavala in the night. At some places tracks are washed out, boulders have fallen on track, mud and waterlogging can be seen on track. Boulder special trains are working at damaged sites and monitoring is being



done at the highest level for quick restoration.

Central railway has informed that this extremely heavy rainfall trains are not running between Ambernath to Lonavala and Titwala to Igatpuri. Due to which around 25 trains are cancelled, 19 are diverted and 32 are short terminated at Pune, Igatpuri, Bhusaval, Manmad and Igatpuri. Various help desks are being set up at Kalyan, Kasara, Igatpuri and buses are arranged at Igatpuri and Kasara.

Suburban train services are running normally between CSMT-Ambernath, CSMT-Titwala and other routes.
