Heavy rain causes extensive damage to properties in Himachal Pradesh

In Himachal Pradesh, the rainfall during past few days has caused extensive damage to the government and private property. The Capital town Shimla and surrounding areas have been also experiencing intermittent rains. The met office has predicted more rainfall in the state during next some days. The continuous rain in some districts has affected the normal life badly.

old bridge on Indora-Damtal road in the Kangra district washed away in flood water while hundreds of roads in the far flung areas are closed for normal traffic due to landslides. The water level in different major rivers and dams is on rising after rainfall in the catchment areas. The water and power supply services have been also paralyzed in several parts of the state.
