Heavy Rain in Delhi-NCR Live Updates: It's raining woes in Noida, Ghaziabad as skies open up

Delhi-NCR Heavy rain, Earlier on Wednesday, the national capital received heavy downpour, experiencing a humid day, even as the maximum temperature settled below the normal levels.

The Delhi-NCR region woke up to a pleasant rainy morning on Thursday, however, things changed rapidly as heavy rains resulted in severe waterlogging and massive traffic snarls. A road also caved in Ghaziabad's Vasundhara area as rains continued for almost three hours.  

According to traffic police officials, vehicular movement was affected at the Vivek Vihar underpass, the Seema Puri underpass and under the Ghazipur flyover.

"Traffic is also affected from Narayana T Point to Loha Mandi due to water logging on the Girdhari Lal Goswami Marg in west Delhi. Commuters should avoid the stretch," an official said.

The only good thing was the showers brought much needed relief from the humid weather. The minimum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average. The maximum temperature was expected to hover around 34 degrees Celsius.

With the weather department predicting more rains, Delhiites can expect more trouble.
