Heavy rain lashed across several parts of Kerala last evening, leaving many places in the southern and central parts of the state inundated. 

Landslides were reported at two places in Pathanamthitta district last night. Night travel to hilly areas of the district has been banned till tomorrow, except for vehicles carrying pilgrims to Sabarimala.

Idukki district have been raised slightly following heavy inflow into its reservoirs. People living along the banks of Chinnar, Kallar, and Panniyar rivers have been asked to remain vigilant. Search for a schoolgirl,  washed away in flash floods in Kottayam district last evening will resume this morning. Another woman, who was taking a bath in a canal at Aranmula was also reported missing.
