Heavy rain occurred at many places in the State during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Monday. Many places in Mahbubnagar, Warangal, Khammam, Nizamabad, Medak and Adilabad districts were flooded with knee-deep water inconveniencing the people. Shayampet in Warangal district recorded the highest rainfall of 8 cm in the State, followed by Alampur (Mahbubnagar) and Chennaraopet (Warangal) recording 7 cm of rain each.
Pinapaka in
Khammam district recorded 6 cm and Narsampet (Warangal), Kamareddy and Domakonda (both in Nizamabad) and Narayankhed (Medak) recorded 5 cm each. The other chief amounts of rainfall in the State were: Gudur, Chennur, Parkal, Bhiknur, Jurala Project, Bheemadevarpalle, Bayyaram and Mahabubabad 4 cm each, Karimnagar, Gangadhara, Khanapur, Bhupalpalle, Hasanparthy, Aswapuram, Hanamkonda, Ghattu, Nallabelly, Kollapur and Julapalle 3 cm each.
