Heavy Rain Likely in Parts of Andhra Pradesh

A low-pressure area has developed over the central south Bay of Bengal under the influence of an upper-air cyclonic circulation. It is expected to intensify and move west-northwest towards the Tamil Nadu coast over the next two days.

The Indian Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers at a few places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam



tomorrow, with isolated thunderstorms and lightning also likely. Rayalaseema is expected to receive light to moderate rain at a few locations, along with isolated thunderstorms.

Heavy rainfall is predicted at one or two places in Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district of South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tirupati district in Rayalaseema.
