Heavy rainfall in southern states, thunderstorms in east, heatwave in Rajasthan & Gujarat: IMD

The India Meteorological Department has forecasted heavy rainfall at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, and Coastal and South Interior Karnataka today. Parts of Jharkhand, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and the northeastern regions of the country can experience



thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds during the next 2-3 days. 

The weather department has further predicted heat wave conditions in isolated parts of West Rajasthan and Gujarat. Hot and humid conditions are very likely to remain over Gujarat, Konkan, and Goa today.
