Heavy rains lashed Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The effects of the heavy rain that lashed on Monday evening were felt even on the next day. Traffic jams were reported in most parts of the city.

Commuters were stuck in slow-moving traffic on most arterial roads.
Slow movement of traffic was reported from Old Airport Road,



Ulsoor, Yamlur and Bellandur areas. The heavy rain also seem to have increased the foaming at Bellandur lake.

Control rooms of the various civic agencies, including Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESC), were flooded with distress calls.
