Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will file his nomination papers from Siraj assembly constituency in Mandi district today for the November 12 assembly polls. Mr Thakur will address a rally at Kuthah (Janjehli), from where he will proceed towards Thunaq SDM office with his supporters to file his nomination papers. Mr Thakur won his first Assembly election from Chachiot Constituency in 1998 and has been MLA from Chachiot since then. Mr Thakur is MLA for five



consecutive terms.

Meanwhile, Congress has released its first list of 46 candidates for the Himachal Pradesh Assembly polls. The party has fielded Leader of the Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri from Haroli assembly seat, while  former Minister Asha Kumari will contest  from her sitting Dalhousie seat. Congress leader Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will fight from Nadaun and Vikramaditya Singh from Shimla Rural constituency.
