The state High Court has quashed the FIR, Challan and Charge sheet framed against Mr. Anurag Thakur BJP MP and President of the BCCI in the land encroachment case. The FIR was registered under section 447/34 of the IPC at Police Station Dharamshala. The matter was challenged in the High Court by the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Chief.
The whole matter relates to the

construction of Dharamshala International Cricket Stadium. It was alleged that the HPCA has encroached government land for stadium but in his judgment the High Court Judge Justice Rajiv Sharma made it clear that no such evidence has been found. The quashing of case is a major jolt to the state government and BJP has demanded immediate resignation of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh from his post.
