Chamba: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has announced 50 per cent discount on travelling in HRTC buses for women. He also announced that all power consumers upto 125 units will get zero bill from July 1. Addressing a Himachal Day function held at Chamba yesterday, Mr Thakur said that no water charge will be collected from families living in rural areas.

He said, all this has been possible due to the support of the Central government as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a



special attachment towards Himachal Pradesh. The Chief Minister also announced 5 crore rupees for expediting work on Holiuttarala road and mini secretariat at Chamba. 

He announced beautification and improvement at Chamba town, besides taking steps to solve its traffic problem. Mr Thakur said, his government has focused on bringing positive changes in the lives of the people and ensuring rapid and balanced development of the state.
