Himachal Pradesh continue to experience heavy snowfall

In Himachal Pradesh, tribal areas and other higher reaches continue to experience moderate to heavy snowfall. The fresh snowfall blocked roads in interior areas of tribal districts disrupting vehicular traffic. The mid and lower hills were lashed with rains accompanied by strong chilly winds.The MeT office has predicted rain, thundershowers and snowfall at many places in the lower, mid and higher hills for the next five days.

The



temperature has been decreased by more than five degree Celsius due to this change in weather. It has revived the biting cold wave conditions almost throughout in the state. The people were also forced to wear heavy woolen cloths. The tourist resorts like Manali, Kufri, Narkanda, Kalpa and Sangla experienced light fresh snowfall while several other districts including capital Shimla lashed with intermittent rains.
