The Central Industrial Security Force(CISF) personnel on Saturday, August 3, arrested two Hindu Mahasabha workers from the premises of the historic Taj Mahal for pouring Gangajal into a tomb and pasting stickers on the wall inside the monument.

According to the CISF, the accused who are responsible for the security breach of the Taj Mahal have been identified as Vinesh and Shyam from Mathura. CISF personnel noticed

them pouring water from a mineral water bottle at the basement door of the main mausoleum. They claimed that the Taj Mahal is Tejo Mahalaya, a myth that is often told by right-wingers who believe that the tomb was built on an ancient temple.

The accused allegedly also posted stickers of Hindu symbols on the walls inside the structure as well. The local police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
