Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid foundation stone of Tamulpur Medical College and Hospital last evening in Guwahati. He also ceremonially distributed cheque of Rs. 1 lakh each to the next kin of 100 selected Covid-19 victims under the State Government’s ‘Prarthana Achoni’ in the presence of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Health Minister Keshab Mahanta and Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) Chief Promod Boro.

Welfare Schemes launch, the Union Minister said that Central Government is committed to fullfil all the promises made at Bodo Accord within a very short period. The Tamulpur Medical College and Hospital is result of the Bodo Accord.

The Union Minister said that Assam will be a hub for Cancer treatment and research.

Earlier the Home Minister inaugurated a new unit of Radio Therapy at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital.
