In view of the upcoming G20 Summit in the national capital, the Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud on Friday declared September 8 as a holiday in the Supreme Court. The G20 Summit is scheduled to be held in Delhi on September 9 and 10. According to a notification issued on the website of the top court, the Chief Justice declared a holiday on
September 8 in view of the office memorandum that was issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions on August 24.
According to an order issued by the Personnel Ministry on Thursday, all central government offices in the national capital will be closed from September 8 to 10 in view of the G20 summit.
