Home Minister Amit Shah assesses flood-like situation in Gujarat caused by heavy rainfall

Home Minister Amit Shah on yesterday assessed the flood-like situation in several regions of Gujarat caused by heavy rainfall. In a tweet, Mr. Shah stated that he had a conversation with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to get a comprehensive understanding of the on-ground situation. He also discussed the water level in the Yamuna River



with Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena.

To provide necessary assistance to those affected, the Home Minister assured that an abundance of State Disaster Response Force and National Disaster Response Fund teams are readily available to aid people in distress.
