Home Minister Amit Shah directs Delhi Police to take strict action against culprit

Home Minister Amit Shah has directed Delhi Police to take stringent action against the culprit behind the Jamia firing incident. Mr Shah spoke to Delhi Police Commissioner over it. In a tweet, Mr Shah said, the Central government will not tolerate any such act and serious action will be taken and the culprit will not be



spared.

Earlier in the day, a man fired from a pistol at a group of protesters in  Jamia Millia Islamia in the National Capital. One student was injured in the incident.

Meanwhile, the accused has been taken into custody and is being interrogated.
