Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the all-India Director Generals and Inspector Generals of Police Conference being held at Bhubaneswar in Odisha. The Conference is being held at the Convention Hall of Lok Seva Bhawan for three days. The Conference is also be attended by key dignitaries including National Security Advisor, Union Home Secretary, Director Generals of Police of all the states and Union Territories and chiefs of CRPF, NSG, Intelligence Bureau and SPG, among
others.
The agenda of the Conference will include discussions on internal security, new criminal laws, coastal security, cybercrime, Maoist menace, and challenges posed by emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and drones. Counter-terrorism strategies are also expected to feature in the discussions. The President’s Police Medal for distinguished service will also be awarded during the Conference.
