Home Minister Amit Shah promises passage of Waqf bill in Winter session

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has vowed to pass the Waqf bill in the upcoming winter session of parliament. This bill addresses critical issues of land rights and property, setting the stage for what could be a tumultuous session. 

The Waqf board will



need to adhere to new guidelines, which aim to limit or streamline previously arbitrary powers. 

Currently, the bill is under review by the Joint Parliamentary Committee, expected to submit its report by the end of the first week of the session.
