Home Minister Amit Shah to launch e-FIR system of Gujarat Police for vehicle and mobile thefts

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will launch the e-FIR system of Gujarat Police for vehicle and mobile thefts in Gandhinagar today. After the launch of E FIR, citizens will not be required to go to the police station to lodge a complaint for vehicle and mobile theft. They can file an online FIR. The concerned police will reach the complainant within 48 hours after receiving the



complaint. 

Police have been given a stipulated time frame in which the complaint needs to be resolved. If they failed to do so, action would be initiated against the concerned.

During his day-long visit, Mr. Shah will also attend various programmes in his Lok Sabha constituency Gandhinagar.
