The Union Home Minister Amit Shah is all set for a day's visit to Uttarakhand today. During his stay, he will be presiding over the 24th meeting of the Central Regional Council at Narendra Nagar in Tehri district. The meeting is likely to be attended by the Chief Ministers of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, arrived yesterday to attend the meeting.
Later on, the
Home Minister will also be participating in the 49th All India Police Science Congress, which is being held at the Forest Research Institute (FRI) in the State capital of Dehradun.
The Congress will focus on policing in the 5G era, narcotics, internal security, social media challenges, and community policing. It is being organised under the aegis of the Police Research and Development Bureau.
