Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra has assured Afghan students studying in the state of all necessary assistance. Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of a function in Bengaluru yesterday, the minister said that the Government will take steps to address their grievances following the political developments in their country. He
informed that there are 339 Afghanis in the state and out of which 197 are students.
Addressing the concern of Afghanistanis on visa period renewal, the Home minister said that the State government will talk to the Centre and try to extend all possible protection to them.
