Home Ministry writes to states, UTs to ensure strict compliance with lockdown guidelines

Union Home Ministry has written to States and Union Territories to ensure strict compliance with Consolidated Revised Guidelines on Lockdown Measures to contain the COVID-19 epidemic in the country. 

In a letter to all Chief Secretaries, the Union Home Secretary emphasized that States and Union Territories cannot dilute restrictions imposed via the



Home Ministry guidelines.

 

States and Union Territories may, however, impose stricter measures than these guidelines as per requirement of local areas. They have been asked to ensure that these guidelines are communicated to all field agencies and wide publicity is given for the benefit of public.
