Hospital staff arrested for sexually abusing the patient in Kerala

Thrissur: Police said on Monday that a woman who was admitted to Thrissur Government Medical College Hospital following a failed suicide attempt was allegedly sexually abused by an electrician who worked in a hospital.

Based on the woman's complaint, Dayalal, an electrician at the nearby Kodungallur Taluk hospital, was



arrested.

The woman who attempted suicide, according to the police, was immediately taken to the Kodungallur taluk hospital. She was later referred to this hospital's Government Medical College.

They claimed that the accused abused the woman when she was admitted to a hospital room on Friday after accompanying her in the ambulance to the medical college.
