In a major success, security forces recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Karnah tehsil of the north Kashmir's Kupwara district last evening. As per Defence spokesperson, Indian Army and Jammu & Kashmir Police on the basis of specific intelligence recovered five AK Rifles & Seven Pistols with a host of magazines and ammunition.
The operation was conducted in very close proximity of the line of control in Dhanni village which
is under direct observation of Pak Army posts in Lipa Valley.
Locals said that such operations conducted by the security agencies along the line of control re-assure and make them feel safe.
Meanwhile, security agencies and civil administration in Karnah Tehsil continue to work to negate the security threat to the people in the Union Territory of J&K.
