Srinagar: A hybrid militant of Lashkar-e-Taiba Sajjad Tantray who was with a search party for identification of a hideout has been killed in an encounter in South Kashmir's Anantnag, Kashmir Zone Police informed when the search party reached towards the suspected hideout terrorists opened fire which hit one accused, hybrid terrorist of LeT Sajjad Tantray of Kulgam, who was with a search party for identification of hideout. Tantray was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
During the investigation, the slain hybrid terrorist Sajjad Tantray, who was earlier a terrorist associate of
Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) revealed that he had attacked two outside labourers on the 13th of this month at Rakhmomen, Bijbehara in Anantnag in which two labourers had got seriously injured while one labourer namely Chota Prasad succumbed to his grievous injuries on 18th of this month at Hospital. The weapon of offence and vehicle used in terror crime were also recovered on his disclosure.
Earlier, Police informed that an encounter started between security forces and militants at the Cheki Dudoo area of Bijbehera in South Kashmir's Anantnag district.
