YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy described his party’s thumping win in the assembly and the Lok Sabha elections on Thursday historic.
“People have blessed me. God had mercy on me. I am thankful to everyone of the 5 crore people who have given me this opportunity,” said Jagan.
As YSRC crossed the magic figure of 88, Jaganmohan Reddy, accompanied by senior leaders Vijayasai Reddy and Y V Subba Reddy walked into the media centre in the party office. Party workers welcomed him with slogans in his favour.
Jaganmohan Reddy said: “In the next six months
or one year, I would give the best governance and make the country stand up and look at AP.” He said he had walked more than 3,600 km and watched problems of people. “I saw their problems. I heard their problems. I assured them that I am there with them. Now, I am reiterating that I would stand by my word. I am assuring the people of this state that I would give them good governance like my father,” Jaganmohan Reddy said.
“People have taken every word of mine into confidence. I will stand by my words,” he said. His swearing-in ceremony would be on May 30 .
