In Bihar, the Surya Kiran team of the Indian Air Force will begin its aerobatic air show at Patna today. The two-day programme will comprise a splendid show and manoeuvre of IAF Surya Kiran aircraft between 10 am to 11 am over the Ganga river in Patna. The programme is being organised on the occasion of Vijayotsav of Babu Kunwar Singh, the freedom fighter of the 1857 revolution in Bhojpur in Bihar.
The main function will be organised tomorrow, and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will inaugurate it. Today’s show consists of a full day rehearsal, and it is open to the public,
including students from 40 schools across Patna.
The Patna district administration has completed all arrangements for spectators. People can see the air show and paragliding performances at JP Ganga Path, the road along the Ganga River. District Magistrate, Patna, Dr. Chandra Shekhar Singh, said that given the turnout of a large number of gatherings, elaborate security arrangements have been made. A traffic advisory has been issued today and tomorrow in view of crowd management at the venue of the Airtel Irfan show and nearby areas in Patna.
