Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has urged students to be focused on their work and remain committed to the goal. Addressing the 56th convocation Ceremony of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, IIMC in New Delhi, Mr Vaishnaw said, today entire world of media is changing. He asked students to always keep the nation first. Mr Vaishnaw reiterated to make IIMC a world-class media institution with state-of-the-art facilities.

Congratulating the graduating students, Mr Vaishnaw emphasized that the next version of IIMC will also include a world-class curriculum and stronger collaborations with the media industry to meet the needs of a rapidly changing communication landscape. Mr Vaishnaw also



highlighted the dynamic nature of the media industry and the importance of adaptability. Saying that the entire world of media is transforming, and change is constant, the Minister stressed on to absorb and adapt to these changes to stay ahead.

During the event, the Minister conferred the Post Graduate Diploma to four hundred seventy-eight journalism students of the 2023-24 batch. Thirty-six outstanding students received medals and cash awards in recognition of their academic excellence.

Vice Chancellor, IIMC, Dr. Anupama Bhatnagar said that IIMC has continuously updated its curriculum to keep pace with modern advancements and evolving requirements.
