IMD forecasts cold day conditions in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold day conditions in isolated pockets of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan today. According to the weather agency, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh and some parts of Uttar Pradesh are expected to witness very dense fog conditions during the night and early morning hours till tomorrow. 

The weather department has also predicted thunderstorms



with hailstorms and lightning at isolated places over Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya today. The IMD said that light to moderate rainfall is likely to prevail over North-eastern states till tomorrow. The met department predicted that minimum temperatures are expected to fall by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius over the Western Himalayan Region during the next 2 days.
