India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold wave conditions to prevail over major parts of Northwest India during the next 5 to 6 days. According to the IMD, cold wave to severe cold wave conditions will prevail over Himachal Pradesh, East Rajasthan and Punjab during the next 2 to 3 days. Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Haryana, and West Rajasthan will likely witness cold wave conditions during the next 2 days.
The weather agency has predicted dense fog conditions in isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar
Pradesh in the night and morning hours today. Over Delhi-NCR, dense fog is expected during the morning hours along with Smog and shallow fog likely in the evening or night. Minimum temperatures are expected to rise by 3 to 4 degrees celsius likely Central India and by 2 to 3 degrees celsius over East India during the next 2 days
Meanwhile, the IMD has also forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over coastal Andhra Pradesh, and heavy rainfall over Rayalaseema today.
