The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold wave conditions over northwest and adjoining central India during the next 3 to 4 days. Cold wave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, West Uttar Pradesh today and over Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Madhya Pradesh during the next 2 days. The Weather Agency said that there will be a gradual fall in minimum temperatures by 2-4 degrees Celsius over Northwest, Central, and East India during the next 2 days.
According to IMD, dense fog conditions are likely to prevail during late night and
early morning hours in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, and East Uttar Pradesh today. Similar conditions are also expected to prevail over Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, and Tripura till tomorrow.
A fall in temperature was observed today morning in Delhi-NCR, along with a blanket of shallow fog and mist. These conditions are also expected to remain in the morning and night hours in Delhi-NCR for the next 2-3 days. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall over isolated places in Tamil Nadu, Karaikal, Puducherry, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalseema today.
